Some of the food trucks at the Hornstull Strand Market on Sunday.

And check out how charming Frankie's Coffee truck is.

All of the sudden, I am seeing all these fantastic food trucks in Stockholm. I’ve already mentioned El Taco Truck, but there are others too. And they are just as cool. Every Sunday afternoon at Hornstull Strand during the summer, there is a market and a mini collection of the food trucks. Last weekend, I stopped by to check them out with my friend Zanne.

I’ve gotta say, they are cooking up some interesting stuff, including things that you don’t normally see in Stockholm. The Bun Bun truck specializes in French-Vietnamese sandwiches featuring the main of your choice: pork, chicken, deli meats or tofu, and that is combined with jalapenos, pickled carrots and radish, cucumber, coriander and chili mayonnaise served up a freshly baked baguette.

Fred’s Food Truck was making US-inspired food including pulled pork sandwiches. That is not something you typically see in Stockholm. And the crepe truck was serving up some very good looking classic crepes. Frankie’s Coffee had coffee, of course, as well as banana bread and brownies. All good stuff. For more information, check out Hornstull’s Marknad.

Sandy,

I love the food trucks…You should know your home town has one too!
If you come back to Cincy this summer your join me at the Leaning Tower Pizza truck. It hits the Tech Center in Milford every other Wednesday.

Yea I know….Pizza is so American, I could go for an Ambar truck or Grand Finali Crapes Truck…..Hey maybe you and Robert should open a Skyline Chili truck in Stockholm!

Enjoy…

Thanks Dave! Great to hear from you. I did not know about the Cincy food truck. We will be there in July and I would love to join you at the pizza truck! And a Skyline truck would definitely be interesting.
