The heart of darkness

I’d like to complain about how bad I have it here in Stockholm in terms of the darkness, but I’m just back from the Arctic Circle where it is really dark. Just now in Stockholm, the sun is up – if you can call the grayness that permeates the sky as sunlight – at 7.59 and it sets at 15.07. Where we stayed in Harads, the sun is up at 8.53 and sets at 13.50. For all you non military time people, that means the sun is setting at 1.50 in Harads. Yikes. That’s one short day.
