turkey lunch

Our thanksgiving luncheon at the Sheraton. Photos by Adrianne George.

I had a full-on Thanksgiving lunch yesterday – complete with turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberries and pecan pie. I was at the annual Thanksgiving luncheon for the American Women’s Club and 115 of us gathered for the feast at the Sheraton Hotel. This unique to the US (and Canada) holiday is the one that makes me feel most connected to my American heritage.

By the way, the meal was so good that I was incapable of moving for the rest of the afternoon. I’m still happy just thinking about it.

Pecan pie. Yum.

It was a lovely luncheon and the food was delicious. I had no room for dinner!
