Foggy day in Stockholm

November 27, 2014

in Stockholm

Stockholm The foggy view from Slussen.

Stockholm The fog horn was sounding loudly as this boat was leaving port.

Stockholm The fog was thick and chilly too.

Yesterday it was dimmigt. Foggy, that is. And all day long. It was beautiful, but also a bit disorienting to look out the window and not be able to see much at all.  It suits the time of year, somehow. But it made it hard to feel like I was awake.

I like the Swedish word for fog–dimma. It sounds like how fog looks, doesn’t it?

I thought of you both last night, as I was dancing at the rooftop bar of the MCA with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the background. “Shall I send Sandra who experienced two hours of sunlight this month a photo?”, I said to a friend. Anyway, wishing you all the best for the darkest months 🙂

Ha, I love it James. It has been unbelievably dark, so please do send a photo. Sounds like a lot of fun.
