Stazione at Saltsjö-Duvnäs: the platform restaurant.

Wednesday morning, it started snowing in Stockholm. On Thursday, it continued off and on and this morning, the flurries are still coming. The ground was covered by yesterday morning. It’s a wet, first real snow of the season kind of snow. So the white stuff is laying perfectly on top of the tree branches and roof tops. It’s oh so pretty and I love it.

The photos here were taken just outside of Stockholm’s center last night. After book group, six of us waited for the train back into town at the  Saltsjö-Duvnäs stop for the Saltsjöbanan train.  The platform was empty except for our group of six and three children running around in the snow. It was so peaceful as the snow lightly fell. Charming Sweden!

Woohoo! I’m so excited about visiting Sweden over Christmas – only a couple of weeks now and we’ll be there 🙂
