Last night was one of those perfect spring evenings in Stockholm. It just felt good to be out, no matter what you were doing. But I got to have one of those “icing on the cake” nights and had champagne and hors d’oeuvres at the French ambassador to Sweden’s residence.

Ambassador Jean-Pierre Lacroix welcomed a group of us from the American Women’s Club to his gorgeous home, and since it was such a lovely evening, opened his back garden to us. The Residence de France is one of the last town houses built in Stockholm and is elegantly filled with French paintings and tapestries. We got to wander around the first floor and just enjoy our surroundings and the weather.
